Are you passionate about the craft of writing? Do you consider yourself particularly knowledgeable or talented in a particular aspect or technique of writing? If so, you’re a great candidate to be a guest host on the show!
All you have to do is record a 15-20 minute segment of audio where you talk about or teach an aspect of creative writing that you are passionate about and send it to The Inside Creative Writing Podcast for possible use on the show! Think of it like writing a guest blog post but using audio instead!
Hints to get on the show:
- Use the highest quality microphone you can get your hands on. Usually anything better than the built-in mic on a computer or phone will work, though.
- Record in the quietest possible environment.
- Remember the show’s audience–writers who are interested in learning how to become better writers. Yes, you can talk about your book, website, Twitter platform, or anything else you like, but it shouldn’t be the focus of your segment.
- Be passionate about your topic! If you’re fired up and excited, most likely the show’s listeners will be, too!
Email your audio file (mp3 preferred) to email@example.com for consideration. Just like submitting a piece of writing or a guest blog post, there is no guarantee that your submission will be accepted or used on the show. There is no compensation (at this time) for accepted submissions and you should allow a few weeks to hear back from us.
If your submission is used, it may be edited for time and content and will appear after Brad’s introduction and before the closing segments of the show. In other words, you don’t have to do any kind of intro or outro in your audio.
